Connecting Ideas in Prague: A Peek into Microfestival 2023
Last week, I joined Prague Microlab 2023, a thought-provoking event from October 2nd to 22nd. Our part, on October 19th, titled "Interdisciplinary Connections and Ruptures: Art, Science, and Technology." Hosted by two Ph.D. scholars from Charles University at Hybernska 7, we were a mix of six academics, including me, a recent master's grad, and Ph.D. students with different interests like cultural preservation, colonialism, art history, AI, puppetry, theatre, and music.
Our goal was to see if talking between different academic areas is helpful for academia. The audience asked us questions, sparking lively chats on various topics. The event, led by Charles University, was a cool space for sharing ideas. Talking across our different fields showed how combining perspectives can make things better.
Prague Microlab 2023 was a chance to see the magic of mixing subjects. Meeting scholars from all over the world in Prague was eye-opening. It's more than just an event – it's a reminder of how important it is to connect ideas and appreciate the different views each field brings.
